The Noel Meade trained Heiselectric made a winning racecourse debut when staying on best to beat market leader Walk The Highline in the Bulmers Live At Leopardstown Maiden.

A son of Ten Sovereigns, the 7/2 chance was held up off the pace by Colin Keane, as Space Warrior led the way.

Fifth entering the straight, Heiselectric closed on the leaders early in the straight, as Walk The Highline took over at the head of affairs.

Coming through to head the latter over a furlong out, the Meade trained colt stayed on well to win by two lengths.

Noel Meade said: “He had a stress crack that held him up and we didn’t get him out.

“We loved him but he’s never been away from home and never been on grass before. He just went around like he was on rails and hopefully he can go on from here.

“He’s never worked any further than six but looking at his pedigree we thought he would stay.

“He’s a lovely horse to do anything with and he’s never come off the bridle at home. Hopefully he stays sound and stays right.”
