High Definition sells for 350,000gns

One time Epsom Derby favourite High Definition has today sold for 350,000gns at Newmarket horses-in-training sale, forming part of a Coolmore draft of horses, on day two of a four-day sale.

Aidan O'Brien's Cesarewitch winner Waterville topped yesterday's sale at 410,000gns, when selling to Waller/Mulcaster and today High Definition sold for 350,000gns to Avenue Bloodstock.

The son of Galileo was installed as Derby favourite following his Beresford Stakes win in 2020 and while unsuccessful in 12 subsequent runs, placed at Group 1 level twice this summer. it is understood he has been bought to go hurdling with trainer Joseph O'Brien.

Along with High Definition, two other ex-Aidan O'Brien trained horses reached six-figure sums today, with Aikhal, selling for 150,000gns and filly Glounthane for 135,000gns. In total, 45 horses were listed for sale under the Coolmore Ireland umbrella.
