Classic winners Galileo Gold, Awtaad, The Gurkha, Minding and Jet Setting are all among 50 entries for the Qatar Sussex Stakes on at Glorious Goodwood on July 27.

Hugo Palmer's Newmarket Guineas winner Galileo Gold, who runs in the colours of the meeting's sponsor, was second in the Irish equivalent to Awtaad, who gave veteran trainer Kevin Prendergast a famous success.

Aidan O'Brien's French Guineas winner The Gurkha and 1000 Guineas heroine Minding give Ireland a strong hand. Jet Setting, a fairytale first Classic winner for Adrian Keatley, and Ger Lyons' Endless Drama can also be included in that team.

American mare Tepin is a surprise inclusion and she could stay on in England after her scheduled appearance at Royal Ascot.

Trainer Mark Casse said: "Tepin is very well. She has a real big breeze coming this Saturday and how she works will tell us, but right now we are on schedule to come to Royal Ascot.

"I believe the travel is arranged for Saturday, June 6. She runs on the Tuesday so that will give her eight or nine days.

"The Qatar Sussex Stakes at Goodwood is an exciting race and I always like to keep my options open.

"They asked me about the race and it is definitely something to think about."

Lockinge winner Belardo, Blue De Vega, Castle Harbour, Hit It A Bomb, Limato, Toormore and Time Test are others to feature in a high-class entry.
