Princess Highway bids to emulate her dam when lining up for the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot today.

Irrestible Jewel won the Group Two contest back in 2002 and now her daughter aims to follow in her footsteps.

Dermot Weld's charge has blossomed this season running out an impressive winner on her return at Leopardstown and then making the step up to Group Three company at Naas last time.

Stan Cosgrove, racing manager for owners Moyglare Stud, said: "I think she'll run well if the ground is right. She likes top of the ground.

"She's a very good filly and she's done well this year. She only ran once last year at Leopardstown and the ground was too soft that day.

"I think she'll go very well and I think the trip will be all right for her, but it's a very tough race."
