Himalayan Heights (7/1) scored on seasonal reappearance today, as the keen-goer landed Leopardstown’s "Domin Oh Hoo Hoo" Handicap under a restrained ride from champion jockey Colin Keane.

Previously successful in a Tipperary maiden last May, Himalayan Heights today raced mid-division, improved to lead over a furlong out and finished well to beat Ard Na Mara by 2.75 lengths.

Lyons reported “that was nice. Last year he was doing everything wrong, he was pulling and dragging out of Colin, and then we gelded him and he’s after maturing. Colin says when they go a nice gallop like that, he settles and does it lovely.

“He matured and that’s all we were hoping he’d do. He’s a gorgeous horse, by Camelot, and we’ll have fun with him. Fingers crossed racing over ten or 12 (furlongs) there will be a good pot to be won with him.”
