HUNTINGDON ``FROZEN SOLID``

Today`s meeting at Huntingdon in England has been abandoned after freezing overnight temperatures left a heavy frost.

Clerk of the course Hugo Bevan said: 'We had -5C of frost last night and unfortunately there`s nothing we can do, the course is simply frozen solid.'

With the jumps fixture at Newcastle scheduled for today already lost to the elemets, racing action in Britain today will be at Lingfield only.

The Equitrack surface passed an inspection this morning.

The course was hit by a heavy frost overnight and officials were forced to take a look and check that the track remained in raceable condition.

And though the course has passed the inspection, racing has been put back by half an hour and the meeting will now start at 1.40.
