Well down the field, albeit beaten less than seven lengths, when favourite for her debut at the Curragh last month, Ice Dancer was a different proposition with the benefit of that experience and made all to take the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at Gowran Park.

Aidan O'Brien 's filly, sent off 5/6 favourite, kept pulling out more in the closing stages to hold Noble Honour by half a length.

Ballydoyle representative Chris Armstrong said:- “She’s a fine big filly. Things just didn’t happen for her, and she was far too green at the Curragh the first day.

“In fairness she still did plenty of things wrong, she’ll be better going a stride quicker.

“She’s one to really look forward to for next year, she’s a massive big filly. She’ll be a lovely middle distance filly.

“She might go to the Silken Glider (Curragh on October 21st) next. Whatever she does at two will be a bonus.

“It’s nice to get another run into her and hopefully we’ll get one more in before the end of the season.”
