Identification Enquiry Meeting: CORK DAY 3, 5TH APRIL 2010 Race: SIXTH The Stewards received a report from Ms Joan Taylor, Turf Club Veterinary Officer, in relation to the markings and microchip number contained in the passport of Brave Ellie, neither of which corresponded with the said filly. Ms Margaret O’Sullivan, trainer of Brave Ellie, stated that she acquired this filly from its present owner about one year ago and she was satisfied that the markings corresponded but now notes that there is a difference in the size of a facial marking and a difference in a whorl placement. She added that this filly has run three times at Point to Points, namely, Killeagh when unplaced, Dromohane when placed fifth and recently at Liscarroll when placed third. She was not aware of any microchip checking on any day by Turf Club Officials which has resulted in today being the first occasion that the discrepancy has arisen. Having considered the report, the Stewards referred the matter to the Turf Club for further investigation.
