Iffraaj Misses Breeders' Date

Iffraaj has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a setback in training.

Godolphin had been hoping to run the five-year-old in the Breeders' Cup Mile at Churchill Downs on November 4 after his success in the Park Stakes at York last time.

However, racing manager Simon Crisford told www.godolphin.com: 'Iffraaj hasn't been right since running at York and we are running out of time with him.

'He will now not be able to run in the Breeders' Cup Mile. All future plans are on hold.'

Although Iffraaj will miss the Grade One event, Godolphin could still be represented by Librettist, who finished sixth behind George Washington at Ascot last Saturday.

'Librettist has improved since he returned lame after the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot last weekend,' added Crisford.

'At present, the plans are to prepare him for the Breeders' Cup Mile.'
