In Compliance nearing a comeback In Compliance is likely to make his comeback after nearly two years off the track at Thurles next month. The nine-year-old has been sidelined since finishing fourth to Mansony in the Dial-A-Bet Chase at Leopardstown in December 2007. He was trained by Michael O'Brien then but owner Sean Mulryan sent him to join the Dessie Hughes stable two months ago. Hughes has given In Compliance an entry in the JNwine.com Champion Chase at Down Royal but is favouring the Thurles Chase two days earlier. "He's a nice horse and he's doing well. I've had him a couple of months," said the County Kildare trainer. "He's had plenty of problems, but he's good at the moment. "He's in at Down Royal but he might run in Thurles two days before that in a conditions chase over two mile six. That would be a bit easier so we'll see how he gets on in that first maybe. "He's a proper horse. In fairness to everybody, he's only now at the age where he can do himself justice. It's only when they are eight or nine they can perform properly in those Grade One races." In Compliance's finest hour to date came when he defeated War Of Attrition in the John Durkan Memorial Chase at Punchestown in December 2006.
