Injured Cole Harden to miss rest of season Last year's Word Hurdle winner Cole Harden will not race again this season having sustained a knee injury. Trainer Warren Greatrex had already ruled his stable star out of a rematch with current three-mile champion Thistlecrack at Aintree this week, having worked poorly at the weekend and found to be lame after exercise. Further investigation has revealed the extent of that and he is to be put away with a novice chasing campaign in mind next season. Greatrex tweeted: "Unfortunately Cole Harden has sustained an injury to his knee!! He will be rested and all being well should return next season #chasing." The seven-year-old beat Saphir Du Rheu 12 months ago to lift the Festival showpiece and was fourth to Thistlecrack last month.
