Inspection at Roscommon in the morning Following a further 6.5mm of rain yesterday, the ground at Roscommon is now yielding to soft. Due to a forecast of heavy rain tonight, there will be an 8am precautionary inspection tomorrow morning. Clerk of the course Lorcan Wyer said this morning: "We have had 32.5mm of rain since entries and the ground is yielding to soft and very much raceable this morning. However, when the rain was at its heaviest in the last number of days, there were two areas of the track which were subject to standing water. With the forecast from Met Eireann suggesting we could have a further 17-20mm of rain overnight tonight, we felt it prudent to call a precautionary inspection for 8am tomorrow." A seven-race Flat card, featuring the Listed Lenabane Stakes, is due to get under way at 5.10pm.
