Inspections at Curragh and Tramore ahead of Saturday's cards The Curragh faces an inspection before Saturday's card can go ahead due to a Status Yellow Rain Warning in place this evening. Brendan Sheridan, IHRB Clerk of the Course, said: "Conditions at the Curragh have been much better than in other parts of the country this afternoon and we've only had 3mm of rain so far today. It is just light rain at present. "However, having spoken with Met Eireann again this evening there is a Status Yellow Rain Warning in place which could bring anything from 15mm to 30mm of rain overnight. For that reason, we feel it is right to call a precautionary inspection ahead of the fixture at the Curragh tomorrow afternoon, but I would be optimistic that with the current forecast we will be okay to race." The Curragh is due to race at 1.45pm. An inspection has also been called at Tramore ahead of tomorrow's Flat card which is scheduled to get under way at 4.10pm. Paddy Graffin, IHRB Clerk of the Course, said: "The rain began here at Tramore shortly before racing today and has been fairly relentless since. Thankfully we remained raceable throughout and the riders reported no issues through the seven races this evening. "We had 22mm of rain in total since 3pm through to 8.30pm and the Flat track is naturally heavy. Having just walked it there is some waterlogging in places on what will be the Flat racing line tomorrow. "The forecast is for us to get another 10mm of rain through the night, but then to turn mainly dry and breezy thereafter so hopefully we'll have some good news after the inspection tomorrow." Tramore's inspection is at 8am.
