Inspire Child Development Centre will officially open on race days at Naas Racecourse from this Saturday on their BBQ & Family Fun Day. The Centre will provide a drop in facility on each race day, free of charge for two hours per child aged five and up. The facility was built as part of the €3.2million redevelopment and is currently leased out to Inspire Child Development Centre.

Activities in the Inspire Child Development Centre on race days include outdoor games, art activities, music and interactive learning.

On non race days the facility is open to children aged two and up. Aside from providing interactive games the centre provides a range of services including occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, therapy sessions for children with autism and parental seminars.

Tom Ryan, Manager of Naas Racecourse said: “We pride ourselves on being a Family Fun track and the introduction of the Inspire Child Development Centre is a perfect fit with our Family Day proposition at Naas. We are looking forward to the race day facility opening from this Saturday on our Summer BBQ & Family Fun Day. We have plenty of entertainment lined up for the Kids starting at 1pm until 4pm and we have BBQ packages available to purchase at naasracecourse.com.”

A Charity Marathon Relay will also take place on Saturday. A number of well-known Jockeys will compete against Team ‘Walkie Talkie’ in aid of Relay for Life Kildare and the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund. There will be 9 members on each team with one member from each team running for a duration of 20 minutes each on a treadmill in the enclosure area. The team that covers the longest distance will be crowned the winners.
