Instalment set for Fort Leney Philip Fenton will step Last Instalment up to Grade One company for the first time in the Fort Leney Novice Chase at Leopardstown on December 28. A winner of two of his four races over hurdles, he has already made up into a much better chaser, landing the Grade Two Florida Pearl Chase at Punchestown without coming off the bridle. The Leopardstown event has a rich history, having been won by the likes of Dorans Pride, Nick Dundee, Pandorama and last season by subsequent RSA Chase winner Bostons Angel. However, Fenton would be happier if the Tony Martin-trained Bog Warrior, owned, like Last Instalment, by Gigginstown House Stud and a fine winner of the Drinmore at the weekend, stayed away. "The next time Last Instalment will be out will be in the Fort Leney at Leopardstown on the 28th," said Fenton. "Gigginstown (owners) have so many good novices this year we have to try and avoid one another, but it's hard. "I'd be happy if Bog Warrior didn't show up, though, as I wouldn't like to be meeting him after Sunday! "Our horse has been very effective on soft ground. He's a big horse so I wouldn't like to run him on anything quicker than good to soft."
