Irish National being considered for Panther Paul Nolan is considering a tilt at the Ladbrokes Irish Grand National with Panther Claw following his determined triumph in the mud at Navan on Monday. The Gigginstown-owned point-to-point graduate secured his second victory from six starts under Rules in an attritional Irish Stallion Farms EBF Novice Handicap Chase Final and is set for a rise in the weights. Similarly testing conditions at Fairyhouse could prompt connections to have a shot at the three-mile-five-furlong feature on April 1st. Nolan said: "It was a gruelling race on Sunday so we will wait to see how he comes out it. "If he keeps right and improving all the time, we will certainly have to think about the Irish National. "He's sneaking up the handicap by a couple of pounds and we don't know what he might do, but soft ground is best for him."
