Irish Racing Yearbook hits the shelves

The sixth and latest edition of the Irish Racing Yearbook 2009 is now on sale, and features a unique insight into the life of Champion Jump Jockey Ruby Walsh by journalist John O'Brien.

The six-time Irish champion is pictured on the front of a bumper 220-page book, which also includes features on champion British owner David Johnson, Harry Findlay, Ballymacoll Stud, jockeys Seamie Heffernan and the Mullins cousins Danny, Emmet and Patrick.

Among the other features are horses to follow lists from Timeform, Turform and respected racing journalists, point-to-point articles, a comprehensive breeding section with detailed sire statistics, racing records, admission vouchers for Irish racecourses and the chance to win over 2,000 euro worth of prizes in an unusual quiz.

The Irish Racing Yearbook 2009 is edited by The Irish Field's Mark Costello, and is available in bookshops and newsagents nationwide priced at 19.95.
