Irish runners in action at Catterick With no racing in Ireland until Wednesday, several horses are due to cross the Irish Sea to run at Catterick tomorrow. Ballymagee represents northern trainer Caroline McCaldin in the class 4 novices' hurdle over an extended two miles three furlongs. This five-year-old gelding fell two out in a Kirkistown point-to-point last month when travelling well in a close third. Noel McParlan takes the ride. McCaldin and McParlan also team up with Ballymist in the concluding bumper. The pick of his form came when he was runner-up in a Portrush point-to-point in October. Another northern trainer, Ronan McNally, has hat-trick-seeking Vee Dancer in the extended three mile one handicap hurdle. He runs under a 7lb penalty after a comfortable success at long odds-on in a handicap hurdle over a similar trip at Hereford on Saturday. Vee Dancer holds a couple of engagements at Leicester on Wednesday, and has further options at Ffos Las on Thursday and Uttoxeter on Friday.
