Island Set For Aintree Return Church Island, who was ruled out of the Cheltenham Festival with an 11th-hour injury, could return to action at Aintree next week.The seven-year-old had been due to run in the Royal & SunAlliance Chase but a muscle strain forced him to miss the race.Trainer Michael Hourigan is now eyeing the John Smith's Mildmay Novices' Chase for his five-time winner over fences.'It was only a minor muscle strain in his hind quarters but he is too good a horse to take chances with so we decided to give Cheltenham a miss,' Hourigan told the Sportsman.'He'll be entered for the three-mile-one-furlong novice chase at Aintree and there is a good chance he'll run there.'(C) PA Sport
