It's Never Simple - McManus treble comes with confusion It’s Never Simple registered his second career win today - both coming at odds of 16/1, in Punchestown’s Matchbook Best Odds On Horse Racing Handicap Hurdle, giving J.P. McManus a treble on an unusual day for the top owner. It’s Never Simple’s previous success at Roscommon in August came as the rider of runner-up Gaelic Des Chastys eased-up near the line, but today made all his own luck when scoring effortlessly under Ricky Doyle, from My Good Pal . McManus’ up-and-down day included wins by A Great Buzz and Powerful along with a mix-up (see other story) involving two of his other horses Dont Tell Jack and Centreofattention , with the Martin Brassil-trained It’s Not Simple completing the owner’s treble. Following the finale, racing manager Frank Berry stated “It's Not Simple likes the ground and it’s grand to get another race out of him.
