Second in last year's renewal, Hurricane Ivor will bid to go a place better in the feature at Galway on Sunday, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Ahonoora Handicap.

Versatile Veteran Brings Strong Credentials

Registering a sixth career win at Naas in March, the Jessica Harrington-trained eight-year-old is versatile regarding ground, having won on both heavy and good.

“He was second in the race last year and it looks like there is a lot of rain forecast on Saturday night," Kate Harrington commented.

"Keithen (Kennedy) is taking 5lb off him, so let’s hope it’s the same result (as Taipan winning in same Fiona Carmichael silks on Friday).

"He ran a good race the last day and he actually had had a little setback prior to that so he was only just ready to start and that race has brought him on.

"We're looking forward to him running on Sunday."
