The Ellmarie Holden trained Sir Jack Yeats , under jockey Donagh Meyler, justified 15/8 favouritism when landing the Oulart Handicap Hurdle at Wexford today, registering a third career win in the process.

The son of Yeats, in first-time blinkers, stayed on well in the home straight before scoring a six lengths win over Lash It On .

Holden's horses are in fine fettle at present and after the race, the rookie handler said “the blinkers probably helped him to concentrate that bit more and obviously they just worked a bit better than the cheekpieces.

“He won on soft ground at Bellewstown last season and won well that day, so I wasn't too worried coming here today. We have no plan with him, and we'll probably pick out a little race for him in two or three weeks time."
