Jacob gets the nod over Fehily for Master ride Daryl Jacob will ride Master Minded in Saturday's Amlin 1965 Chase at Ascot. With stable jockey Ruby Walsh heading to Haydock to partner Kauto Star in the Betfair Chase, Paul Nicholls has confirmed that Jacob, and not Noel Fehily who rode the former Champion Chaser last season, will be aboard Clive Smith's other star chaser. Writing in his column at www.betfair.com/paulnicholls the trainer said: "Clearly, it makes sense for Ruby to partner Kauto Star. But while Noel was in the frame for Master Minded, having won the Ascot race on him last year and next time up at Cheltenham too, Daryl is now our second jockey and he gets the ride. "Furthermore, Daryl has done a lot of work and schooling on Master Minded at home, too."
