Jewel sparkles in France Enniscorthy trainer Denis Murphy landed the valuable Prix Anjou-Loire Challenge Cross-Country Race yesterday at Le Lion D’Angers in France with Another Jewel. Johnny Cullen, in the colours of owner Frank Magee, came home a two and a half length winner aboard the ex J P McManus-owned gelding, from Ninon De Grissay, in the fourth round of the Crystal Cup challenge. Fourth at Cheltenham and third in the La Touche Cup at Punchestown last time, Another Jewel took over travelling well two out and went on to take the €50,400 to the winner contest comfortably. Indications are now that he could go for the next round of the series at Waregem at the end of August and the Pardubice could also be on the agenda. Cullen had ridden in France before but it was his first winner there.
