The market principals Josh's Joy (5/4 fav) and Institute (16/5) were at the head affairs throughout the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Maiden at Naas and the former, with the stands' side rail to help her, went on over a furlong out to post a length and three-quarters victory.

Trained by Donnacha O'Brien for Orr, Medallion, Hoffman and Weston, the daughter of Wootton Bassett had been placed over longer trips on her first three starts and was dropping back to six furlongs for the first time.

Jockey Gavin Ryan said: “She’s a gorgeous filly to look at - a big, strong individual and has probably just taken a few runs to really get together.

“Today was the first time that late on in a race she’s found an extra gear and really picked up. Her last furlong was probably her best furlong.

“She was well entitled to do that and coming back in trip would be no problem as she has plenty of pace.”
