Josses makes it two from two in Britain Josses Hill had a tall reputation purely on the form of first start and made it two-from-two in Britain in the Tony Jones 60th Birthday Bash Maiden Hurdle at Newbury. At Punchestown in May, when in the care of Andy Oliver, the photogenic gelding was 22 lengths second to Faugheen, currently tearing his way through the domestic novices for Willie Mullins, and Josses Hill did the same at Ascot last month on his debut for Nicky Henderson. Sent off at evens, he gave his hurdles plenty of air but won readily by three lengths under Barry Geraghty. "He's a gorgeous horse, but just a baby," said Henderson. "He jumps his hurdles like fences. We'll mind him this season before he goes over fences next year."
