Kalixa & Jaliyah among Naas Oaks Trial contenders Kalixa and Jaliyah are two of eight declared for the Darley Irish EBF Naas Oaks Trial on Saturday. Successful on her third start over the course and distance last month, the Dermot Weld-trained former will be ridden by Chris Hayes. Colin Keane will get the leg up on the Adrian Murray-trained latter, with this one a dual winner from six outings, striking when last seen at Cork on Easter Saturday. "Kalixa will take her chance in the Oaks Trial at Naas," Weld revealed at Gowran on Wednesday. "She got a very good ride from Chris Hayes when she won there the last day. He just went at the right time. "I think she's improved from the run. "I'd expect her to be placed but I'm more hopeful than confident whether she can win. We'll know more after Saturday." On Jaliyah, AMO Racing representative Ryan McElligott, said: "It was a nice performance at Cork the last day and we've always felt that she'd be at home in Stakes company. "Ten furlongs is a good trip for her and she's very well. "We think she's progressed since the last day and better ground will suit her well." Garden Of Eden, Island Hopping and Medici Venus will represent Aidan O'Brien in this Listed heat, while Gotomylovely, Hollys Graces and Tamam Desert complete the line-up.
