Katie Daniels added to a point-to-point win last year when opening her account under Rules in the Sign Up To GavinLynchRacing.com Mares Maiden Hurdle at Fairyhouse.

The Cian Collins-trained daughter of Walk In The Park showed promise when third at Clonmel last month and asserted after two out in this 2m4f event.

Ben Harvey ’s mount, available at 25/1 earlier in the morning and sent off at 11/1, kept on well on the run-in to beat Changeyourstars by two and a quarter lengths. Zanoosh was a further half a length back in third.

Harvey said, “Her two runs in Clonmel were very good. The last day I thought she was going nowhere coming down the hill and she nearly passed everything on her way home.

“She was very professional today; travelled and jumped and did everything right.

“She loves that ground and will probably be going up in trip rather than coming back.”
