Keane makes plans for recent winners Gerard Keane's yard has hit a bit of form with a couple of winners in the last week courtesy of Effernock Lad at Sligo and Aurora's Dream in Downpatrick. Effernock Lad was entered for Tramore on Friday evening but the trainer is eyeing a trip to Bellewstown for a race he won last year. He said: "I'm going to give him another week and run him in Bellewstown at the end of August for the two mile one handicap hurdle he won last year. "It's an 80-102 and he'll just get in off 102 as he got 4lbs for winning in Sligo. Mark Flanagan will claim 7lbs off him. "He's not a great work horse but he lights up when he gets to the track." First-time blinkers and good ground saw Aurora's Dream get off the mark in an extended two mile two handicap hurdle at Downpatrick on Sunday and she could be next seen in the west. Keane said: "She'll go for something similar. I'll give her another couple of weeks and she could go to Roscommon or Sligo on good ground."
