Keepsgettingbetter followed up a win over a mile here last month when successfully stepping up in trip in the Greyhound Racing Every Weekend Handicap at Dundalk.

The Donnacha O’Brien-trained filly made headway in the straight to lead a furlong out and kept on well in the closing stages under Chris Hayes to beat Musashi by two and a quarter lengths. Sea Of Dubka was a further half a length back in third.

Hayes said of the 11/10 favourite, “That's a great bit of placing to find those kind of races.

"The last race was probably a stronger race. The step up in trip suited today.

"It was messy. I actually intended to sit a little bit closer to the pace, but she missed it a beat. They went steady and I had to take my medicine. I followed Declan (McDonogh, Musashi), she was green, it is tough conditions and that with the wind.

"You'd love her attitude; she would die for you. Everything you ask her to do and a little bit with it.

"She is obviously well named; she is getting better. I thought that was a good bit of placing now, but she is improving."
