Kelly - More To Come From Icon

Shane Kelly believes there is better to come from Sixties Icon following his run in the Vodafone Derby.

The son of 2001 Derby hero Galileo was a highly-creditable seventh, beaten just over five lengths by the winner Sir Percy at Epsom on Saturday.

The Jeremy Noseda-trained colt was having only the third race of his life in the premier Classic after running in two maidens.

'He got a little bit knocked about but you have to expect that in the Derby,' Kelly told At The Races.

'We were very pleased with him and he ran a really good race.

'It was only his third run so he'd have to improve a huge amount from his trip around the Derby.

'I'm sure he'll be better over a little bit further and possibly with a little bit of ease in the ground

'I was absolutely thrilled with him on the day. It was great.'
