With just 0.5 millimetres of overnight rainfall having fallen at the track, clerk of the course Hazel Peplinski was able to issue a resounding thumbs-up at an early-morning inspection. She tweeted: "Good news. There is currently no snow @KelsoRacecourse. Racing goes ahead." The going at Kelso remains soft, heavy in places, with racing due to begin at 12.40pm.
