Kerry targets ahead for easy Roscommon scorer The Eric McNamara-trained Tumbling In ran out the easy winner of the opening Curragh To Curragh Charity Cycle Maiden Hurdle at Roscommon this evening. Fresh from the first Graded success of his career on Shadow Paddy at last week’s Galway Festival, Gary Noonan was on board the 11/10 favourite who raced clear before the second-last hurdle to beat 33/1 chance Casper Charlie by all of nine and a half lengths for owners Linda Shanahan and Sue Magnier. “She’s a very nice mare and I think she deserved her turn,” said McNamara. “I think the maiden hurdle that she ran in the last day was particularly strong. The fourth came out and won very well since. “We thought she’d win and she did. Hopefully there are more races in her, I think she is a mare that is improving with every run. Onwards and upwards hopefully. “There is a two-mile-six novice in Killarney in a fortnight’s time and a good novice in Listowel in September, so there are plenty of races for her. “That’s the road she’ll go and I think she’ll be capable of giving a good account of herself.”
