Khan off the mark in Ireland on Lahore Lahore Da King stayed on strongly to land the finale at Dundalk for Tony Mullins and Iqbal Khan. The Sands Of Mali gelding was soon to the fore on the inner in the seven furlong handicap and led turning for home. He was in the centre of the track early in the straight and despite drifting to his right inside the final furlong, the 12/1 shot kept on well to post a length-and-a-quarter success over Manhattan Dandy. The winner had stayed on well to finish fifth on his first visit to the track last month. It was a first success in Ireland for the rider who said: "I’m feeling very happy now! "Two years ago, Lucky Queen finished second in Killarney. "I was a jockey in Pakistan and had around 17 winners there. "I worked for Willie Mullins for three or four years, and I have been with Jim Bolger for 15 years. "The owner, Mudassar Rafiq, is my son-in-law. He has three or four horses."
