Kilbeggan steeplechases abandoned ahead of Friday fixture

The Turf Club has announced that, following a course inspection at Kilbeggan today Wednesday, 20th August, the steeplechase course was found to be unfit for racing ahead of the scheduled fixture there on Friday, 22nd August. As a consequence the two steeplechases, the Loughnagore Handicap Steeplechase and the J.A.Shaw Beginners Steeplechase, have both been abandoned. The hurdle course is currently Heavy and one race will be divided to form a six race programme.
