Kinane loses Turf Club appeal Michael Kinane lost his appeal over a two-day ban at the Turf Club today.The jockey left the hearing at the Turf Club`s Curragh headquarters grim-faced with his solicitor Andrew Coonan.'We`ve no comment at this stage,' said Coonan.The appeal was adjourned from Thursday following an afternoon of legal arguments and counter-arguments and the absence of two witnesses, jockeys Niall McCullagh and Declan McDonogh.Kinane picked up the suspension at Leopardstown last week for careless riding on Sophisticat. It was his first offence for 18 months.After the result of the appeal was announced Brian Kavanagh, chief executive of the Turf Club, said: 'As far as I am aware that is the end of the matter.'They have exhausted the appeal procedure of the Turf Club.'This morning`s adjournment lasted an hour and three-quarters and Kavanagh added: 'There was a lot of legal debate - there were five lawyers in the room.'
