King doubles up on Way Down South Having been amongst the winners earlier in the afternoon, jockey Daniel King completed a double when partnering the Gillian Scott trained Way Down South to land the Tramore Racecourse On Instagram Handicap Hurdle. Sent off 9/4f in the colours of WDS Syndicate, the gelding led or disputed for the first part of the race before going on three out. Strongly pressed by Jack Star at the penultimate flight, the departure of the latter horse at that obstacle allowed Way Down South come home an easy four-and-a-half length winner. Gillian Scott said: "I'm delighted with that. We ran him on the Flat just to give him something else to do while the ground was so hard during the summer. We didn't want to be running him over hurdles or fences on that ground. He enjoyed it and I think it sparked a bit of life into him. He jumped way better there today. I'm delighted for the owners, they've been great supporters of mine. It wouldn't want the ground too deep but we'll give going while the ground is like this."
