King in awe of 'frightening' Yamworth Yanworth took his 100 per cent record over jumps with an impressive performance in the Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle at Cheltenham. The Alan King-trained six-year-old made mincemeat of what looked a decent field as he swept to a four-timer in this Grade Two contest. Owned by JP McManus, Yanworth (2-1 favourite) pulled clear of the previously-unbeaten Shantou Village in the closing stages to win by a jaw-dropping seven lengths. Champers On Ice was third, another 10 lengths away. King said: "I don't know how good he is - he's never come off the bridle in four runs this season. "I don't think I've trained anything like it. I'm sure he'll be a better horse in better ground. "He's frightening - in a good way - and he could be very special." Geraghty said: "He was good. He travelled really well. It's hard work out there but he galloped away. "He was good and quick and slick at the last."
