Kish Bank showed his mettle when delivering in the Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Chase at Leopardstown.

The leader was scrubbed along by Carl Millar after two out and looked more than vulnerable to Union Station who travelled all over him off the home bend.

Kish Bank refused to give best, though, and the pair jumped the last virtually in unison.

Millar and Kish Bank were well up for the battle and edged ahead on the run-in, and found more than Union Station who had no more to give in the closing stages.

Kish Bank prevailed by three-quarters of a length at 9/2 from the 8/1 runner-up. Well Del (4/1) was another two and a-half lengths back in third in this extended three-mile contest.

Gordon Elliott said: “It’s been an unbelievable week. Normally things don’t bounce right for you, but to come out with this amount of winners is unbelievable.

“Credit to all the team I have at home and all our owners and jockeys.

“Carl has been plagued with injuries over the last couple of years and he keeps coming back. He always rides a winner at the big festivals.

“I’m delighted for him, as he’s around my place a long time and works very hard.

“This horse likes a bit of better ground.”

This was an across-the-card four-timer for Elliott (three in Leopardstown and one in Limerick) on the fourth day of a very lucrative Christmas period for the Cullentra trainer.
