Knowhere Handed Power Aim

Nigel Twiston-Davies has confirmed Knowhere as an intended runner in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham.

The nine-year-old, who is a 10-1 chance with the sponsor, contested the race last season as a novice and was in the process of turning in a big performance when he fell down the back straight.

He finished second to subsequent Gold Cup runner-up Exotic Dancer in the Boylesports Gold Cup after that, but he rather lost his way in the second half of the season.

Knowhere returned to form when winning at Prestbury Park last month and Twiston-Davies has now set his sights on the November 17 event.

'He's going to go for the Paddy Power and he seems in great form,' confirmed the trainer.

'He was second in the Boylesports at Cheltenham last year behind Jonjo's (O'Neill) Exotic Dancer so he is very good. He's also in the Hennessy,' he told At The Races.
