L L Koulsty keeps his cool The John O'Donoghue-trained L L Koulsty (4/1) showed a good attitude to take the finale at Naas for jockey Rory Mulligan. The three-year-old son of Koulsty was prominent throughout and, under a strong drive, lasted out to win by a short head from the fast-finishing Yaupon De Replay, denying trainer Joseph O'Brien a four-timer on the day. Speaking after the race, jockey Rory Mulligan said: "I pinged the gates, and got into the position I wanted to be in. The favourite was sitting up besides me. I was able to dictate away the whole way. "When I turned into the straight, I got stuck into him and he battled gamely the whole way to the line. He's a bit lazy to get into top gear, but once he does, it'll take a good one to get by him." Quotes from John O' Riordan
