La Note Verte up and running over flights Willie Mullins' La Note Verte made light of an absence of just over a year when asserting in the closing stages of the mares' maiden hurdle at Listowel. Paul Townend's mount always had the leaders in her sights in a lovely position in third, on hurdle debut, and took closer order entering the straight. She picked it up two out and always looked to be holding Astelia and Tequila Talkin'. She increased the gap halfway up the run-in and sailed in by five lengths at 4/7 having opened at a very short 1/4. Runner-up Astelia wasn't without her supporters at 28/1 and was half a length in front of 12/1 Tequila Talkin'. La Note Verte was last seen winning a fillies' bumper at this track. Townend said: "She likes it around here although it wasn't the deepest of races. She jumped like a buck, that's her asset and jumped so well for one first-time out. Her jumping will have to bring her a long way but it should. "That ground is key and when she hit the front she was green enough, so I'd be hopeful she can keep improving away."
