La Petite Coco aims to put on a show for Team Valor La Petite Coco won her last three starts of 2021 for Paddy Twomey and is now set to begin her campaign at the highest level in the Group 1 Al Wasmiyah Pretty Polly Stakes in the Curragh at the weekend. Twomey said she might enjoy further than the ten furlong trip, but is happy to let her take her chance in Sunday’s big race. "It has kind of been the plan all year to start in the Pretty Polly. Her owners Team Valor are coming over and they will be here for the Pretty Polly, so the idea has been to go there," the trainer said. "She has been good, she has trained well all spring and we king of have the second half of the year very much in mind for her. That is why we weren't in a hurry to start her earlier in the year. "She was busy last late summer into autumn, so I didn't want to be rushing at her this spring. She beat Love in Champions Weekend on good ground, she's pretty versatile. "A mile and a quarter would probably be her minimum I'd say, she might be better at a mile and a half but it's a good place to start." La Petite Coco beat Love in a Group 2 over course and distance in September and, prior to that, delivered in a Group 3 over a mile and a half at Cork in August.
