Ladbrokes pay out 60k on Stage Manager Ruby Walsh took Stage Manager to victory in the GPT Dublin Handicap Hurdle on Tuesday. Bookmaker Ladbrokes had taken two bets of 10k each on the Ruby Walsh ridden Stage Manager in Tuesday's GPT Dublin Handicap Hurdle in Galway. The lucky trackside punters were rewarded with odds of 3/1 and collected their combined winnings of 60k just moments before Broad Meaning, ridden by Pat Smullen, took the GPT Access Equipment Maiden at even money and bookmaker Ladbrokes were hit for a further 25k to another two lucky trackside customers. Commenting Donal McCarthy, Director of PR and Communications Ladbrokes Ireland, said, "Although betting seems to be marginally down on last year there are still some customers placing large stakes and reaping the rewards. Crowd numbers remain high which is perhaps a sign of the times with the majority of customers placing slightly smaller stakes but still keen to get out and enjoy the atmosphere."
