Lashes reappears in Godolphin blue Long Lashes, bought out of the Jessica Harrington yard by Godolphin after scoring in Listed company on her debut, has her first run for new connections in tomorrow's skybet.com Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmarket. The Pivotal filly was an unconsidered 25/1 chance in the Ballygallon Stud Stakes at the Curragh on Irish Derby weekend but there was plenty to like about the way she drew clear of her rivals. To enhance Long Lashes' profile, the runner-up from that event, Elusive Galaxy, finished third behind Lillie Langtry in the Group 2 Debutante Stakes at Leopardstown yesterday evening. "She's a very nice filly and we are looking forward to getting her on the track before we make any plans for the future," said Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford. "It was nice to see her form given a boost in Ireland, and she has been really straightforward since she arrived with us in Newmarket. She's very easy to deal with and, while the ground is going to be different to how it was at the Curragh, I don't see that being an issue. Whatever happens, the long-term aim is for her to go to Dubai in the winter."
