Sheila Lavery is in no rush to make plans with Classic-entry Maeda Matsu.

The daughter of Dubawi Legend made a very promising start to her career when chasing home Livenka in the valuable Ballyhane Stakes at Naas in August.

She subsequently landed a maiden back at the Kildare venue before being pitched into the Ingabelle Stakes at Leopardstown's Irish Champions Festival.

Sent to post a 25/1 shot for that Listed contest she finished a well-beaten eighth but Lavery retains her faith in the Irish 1,000 Guineas entry.

She has yet to make a decision on whether her charge will run again this year and said at Dundalk on Wednesday:-

"I haven't made a call that she will, or she won't.

"She has taken a growth spurt, so we are just kind of cantering away with her.

"I think she has a real good action, and we haven't tried it (slower) ground, but we will find out.

"She does have the Guineas entry, so we think very highly of her."
