Leading national hunt stallion Stowaway has died, at the age of 21.

The sire of leading jumpers Champagne Fever, Mart Lane, Outlander, Hidden Cyclone and Western Leader.

Stowaway reportedly dropped dead during his routine exercise.

Stowaway had been in the care of Ronnie O'Neill and stood at Whytemount Stud in County Kilkenny.
