Left Hand the Vermeille queen Left Hand got up to beat British raider Endless Time in a steadily-run Qatar Prix Vermeille at Chantilly. Godolphin's Lancashire Oaks heroine Endless Time lined up in Paris on something of a recovery mission after failing to fire in last month's Yorkshire Oaks and Charlie Appleby's inmate was soon dictating matters at the head of affairs under Mickael Barzalona. The French rider gradually wound up the gallop before the mile-and-a-half contest developed into a sprint for home inside final two furlongs. Endless Time would not give in without a fight, but was mowed down late by the Carlos Laffon-Parias-trained 7/2 chance Left Hand, with Endless Time a clear second ahead of The Juliet Rose. Favourite Candarliya was disappointing.
