Leicester Look Again This afternoon's meeting at Leicester is subject to a further inspection at 10.45am after an initial look at 8am proved inconclusive. Temperatures dropped lower than anticipated in the Midlands but officials are 'hopeful' the meeting will go ahead. "We will look again at 10.45am," said clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson. "We are pretty hopeful that we will go ahead. "It dropped to minus four last night but it has already risen to minus one. "There is no frost at all under the covers which were put on the shaded areas but the parts that we were unable to cover just need to be checked again in a few hours. "Once the sun gets on them we should be fine."
