Lenabane set for Grade One Dessie Hughes will let Lenabane tackle Grade One company for the first time in the Knight Frank Novice Chase at Leopardstown on December 28th. The seven-year-old, a half-brother to iconic two-miler Moscow Flyer, opened his account over fences at the third attempt with a battling display at Punchestown on Sunday. Hughes feels there is plenty more to come from his charge when he steps up to three miles and is looking forward to his Christmas engagement. "It was a good performance to fight back in that ground as if they make a bad mistake when it's as heavy as that, they're usually finished," said Hughes. "He'll step up in trip now for the three-mile novice chase at Leopardstown over Christmas as there is not much else for horses that have won their novice. "He's progressing well and we're happy with him at the moment."
